Bountiful

This is #4 of the 5 pieces I had framed in early August.
The sentiment and the motifs are certainly timely for mid-October.

Design - "Bountiful" (Blacksheep kit)
Designer - Ewe & Eye & Friends
Fabric - unknown linen
Fibers - DMC
Started - 21 May 1999
Completed - 21 June 1999
Framed - August 2010

I think the boarder is especially clever with its "interruption" on the top right corner.

The pumpkin is voluptuously round and curved.

A very simple framing job for this - a wide sage-green mat, and a very plane wooden frame.

It turned out to be very pleasing to my eye.

There is something soothing about the shape of a pumpkin I think.
Perhaps we are unconsciously reminded of having "put by" enough to weather the deprivations of winter.

The Farmers' Market was bountiful as well.

From the clever signs...
to the abundant displays of produce.

The rustic shapes...
and colors.

all made for a perfect October day!

I love your Bountiful! That is so pretty--great choice for the frame. I loved the pumpkin pics, too. Oh, how I miss visits to the pumpkin patch!!
