The peanut feeders continue to be popular.

I'm very pleased to have a couple of Red-breasted Nuthatches as frequent visitors.

The set up in the backyard must be too exposed, as I see them exclusively in the front of the house. 

It's more protected and closer to the natural habitat they enjoy. 

Something about the upside-down pose, right?

And they also have an amusing call.

I'm going to pat myself on the back. I think I did a pretty decent job choosing fabric and colors to match.

Now let's continue on with the Christmas Decorating Tour. 

This is part of my mother's collection of holiday plates and platters.

For someone who rarely cooks (I do bake), I have quite the collection of kitchen ornaments and trees.  Here are two small ones. The one on the right is new this year.

This cupcake one is in the family room...

...as is this one with cookie cutters and cookie sheets.

I've festooned most of the knobs in the kitchen with cookies ornaments.

Newest December Stitch

My newest stitch is a reindeer freebie design by Tantes Zolder.

You can see how it looks finished up as Melissa at Words and Blooms and Carol at Stitching Dreams have both stitched really nice versions of it.

The Acorns remain active.

They're busy with their granary tree. Look at ALL those holes they've drilled!  I wonder how many peanuts they have stored (as well as acorns and who knows what!)

All the woodpeckers enjoy suet this time of year.

I had two Flickers the other day.

...and a female.

It always amuses me to see them on the ground!
