The Calendar Reads "October"

The calendar says October - the title of my new stitch?
"Calendar October" my Ewe & Eye & Friends.

The Harvest Festival held in conjunction with the Spencer Creek Grange Community Growers' Market was also all about October.

An apple cider press...

Nifty halloweenish patty pans...

Winter squash and pumpkins galore!

Alpacas and Such...

I decided to stitch the background using DMC 3371.
I like how that instantly turned it into a rather spooky night scene.

Design - "Autumn Pumpkin"
Chart - "Autumn Leaves" #132
Designer - The Prairie Schooler
Fabric - 32 count Lambswool linen
Fibers - DMC - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - 30 September 2010
Completed - 2 October 2010

Ta-da!

After watching "Game Day" on ESPN and eating breakfast, my sister and I headed down to the  Spencer Creek Grange Community Growers' Market .
This weekend's special guests...

Alpacas!

Two females and a darling baby.

The three were very well behaved and hummed non-stop.

The baby was shy, but beyond cute!

The market also featured alpaca unfinished wool...

and the finished dyed product.
