Here's a fledgling female. You can tell because she still has a couple of red feathers atop her head.

And she behaves like a kid!

In contrast here's an adult male - the prominent red feathers are at the back of his head.

The design called for WDW Twilight.  I thought Twilight was too green and switched to WDW Navy. 

They Violet-green Swallows have all fledged.

This nesting box finished up on the 4th of July.

Proud parents

This box took a week longer.

The baby was not interested in leaving.

But as the days progressed, it stuck out further and further. 

I think it fledged on Friday the 10th.

Now it seems very quiet. No chirping, and the parents aren't chattering any longer.
