It's That Time of the Year Again!

On the last day of February...

..we celebrate that earlier in the week, the hummers were out in force.

On Wednesday the 24th, I had the first sighting of a female Anna's gathering on processed cotton to use in the construction of her nest.

No, it's not too early.

There's an advantage to getting started before the more aggressive Rufous arrive in mid-March.

Hope it works out well for you, little bird!

Saturday's Critters

I've counted as many as five Western Gray Squirrels and one Eastern Gray Squirrel all at the same time.  Plus chipmunks!

They've found the food I'm setting out along the deer fence.

Time to re-think this.

Hot pepper foods maybe.

Barry is now antler-free.

A basic brown brush bunny!

Here's lookin' at you kid!

They glowed in the afternoon sunshine.

Pleased to hear, then see a White-breasted Nuthatch.

It's an atypical bird close to the house and feeders.

Typical pose!

Fun to see this guy.
