The theme is red and black - stitching and birds!

Got to see a Red-breasted Sapsucker once again.

Males and females look identical - usual in woodpeckers.

Certainly the bird fits my theme.

And my blue-eyed boy.

I continue to watch the changes in birds as April turns into May.

I generally see a White-throated Sparrow or a White-crowned Sparrow msot days.

This is a White-crowned Sparrow.

The Chestnut-backed Chickadees remain active too.

There's supposed to be a pretty good snowstorm to the north of us, in the Portland area. But here things remain mild and wet.
