4th of July Celebration

HAPPY 4th OF JULY

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."  ~Erma Bombeck

We are ready for the 4th of July.
I have "Free Birds" on display.

My Mom has many red, white and blue decorations.

Flags...

Stitching on chairs.

Stars and Stripes.

Red, white and blue.

We are ready.

After temperatures of 101F and 98F, we are thrilled that it is to 'only' be 93F today.  The pulled pork is finishing up in the slow cooker, the burgers and dogs are on the grill.  There is fruit, pasta salad, potato salad, cookies, brownies, and cobbler. Bring it on!

Woo hoo! I too am patriotic. ;) We had our parade and fireworks last night. And hot dogs and corn on the grill too.

You are really in the spirit! What wonderful patriotic decorations!

We had sloppy joes, potato salad, deviled eggs (all homemade) and ice cream for dessert!
Hope you enjoyed your celebration!
