Sunday Sightings

I saw an opossum last night near our Big Creek.
No camera then, but here's what I've managed to "see with a camera" in the last couple of days.

A Gray Squirrel

An Evening Grosbeak Fledgling...

...and his Dad.

The Hummingbirds have been active.

I've counted four at the same time.  Being Hummingbirds - it was two sets of two fighting with each other!

Right now this Penstemon is the favorite plant.

There are constant battles over who "owns" the nectar.

Personally, I think there's enough for everyone, if they'd just share!

I had a Three Turtle Sighting at the Quarry Pond...

...and my first ever, up close and personal of one of the many Bullfrogs who reside in the Q.P.

Wow - it's the first of July - the year is half over.
A new month, a new blog header.
I'll provide the details in tomorrow's post.

It is amazing how those hummingbirds fight all the time. I tried putting multiple feeders out, and they still fought!

Love your new header, esp the eagle. Looking forward to seeing what chart that is.
