Back to Dorothy's Creek we go - this time to look at the cats - large and small.
A nocturnal sighting of aa bobcat.
Headed off to the creek.
Early morning.
Later in the same morning - a different cat?
Back again 40 minutes later with breakfast.
A close up.
Later in the same afternoon - lunch.
Close up.
Another day - afternoon stroll.
Mid-month - early morning.
To and fro.
Another early morning walk-about.
Last visit for the month.
What is that?!
Oh my gosh!
It's a bobcat kitten!
What do you think?
Is that cute or what?
Now on to the Big Cats!
Cougar at around 9:30pm.
And back again a few minutes later.
Cats on the move in the early morning.
"What's this red thing?"
"Smells like a bear!"
Moving on.
Almost out of camera range...but is something following?
Yes.
And off it goes - but wait, look down the path.
Here's the third one!
I think that is all the excitement we need for the month of July.

Wow, three cougars/mountain lions! I wonder if the bobcat with breakfast/lunch was providing for its little one. That baby bobcat is adorable. Is that a first sighting of a young one for you, Beth?
Beth, amazing! That is quiet a large catch. Maybe has some little mouths to feed? It's not common to see just a kitten by itself, is it?
When we lived near Jolon, CA we saw mountain lions near our home. There was a large tree in the field next to our property and they used to rest under it in the warm months. They are majestic animals for sure.
Wow and kittens as well. Have a good week, Diane
Wow! Beth what amazing pictures. It really makes me think about what is in our woods at night. My DD was on a very early morning walk and got harassed by an owl!
Amazing pictures!
