I like the muted colors used in this. The banner reminds me of something that might have been flying while the British captured the Capital in the War of 1812.
Are you ready to hop on over to the Garden Party at an Oregon Cottage?
I have a garden to share.
On Saturday my Mom, sister, and I headed down to Cottage Grove, Oregon for a garden tour. This garden backed the Row River and belonged to a master gardener.
This is Clematis 'Alan Bloom' - I've never seen a Clematis that bloomed right off the stem like this before.
Bread seed Poppies - so pretty and delicate.
A wonderful little water feature full of glass floats.
This Foxglove made me go "Wow"! It is Digitalis ferrunginea.
Once again I found a bit of whimsy in the garden! This tiny tea set was set upon a tea saucer.
It's clear why this is called a Paperbark Maple - Acer griseum.
A lovely bell shaped Clematis climbed through this wonderful Japanese Umbrella Pine - Sciadopitys verticillata.
Being a master gardener, she had easy to read tags for all of her plants!
But she didn't take herself or her garden too seriously!~

The flowers are so pretty, but I really love the whimsy! - and your cross stitch is really beautiful, too.
What a fabulous garden. I really love the miniature tea set on the tea saucer. :)

What a wonderful garden! She has so many different plants! The paper bark maple is too cool--haven't seen one up close before now! And the bell shaped flower--exquisite! And whimsy to boot--what a great visit you had! Hugs!
