Another Wednesday Walk

With each finish comes the excitement of choosing and kitting up another start.  Staying with my "Bird Theme", I picked "Bluebird Alphabet" by Just Nan as my next stitch.

No Bluebirds on my recent walk, but I saw lots of other critters and plants.
The Camas (Camassia quamash) are still in bloom.
Bunny was having breakfast - First Course: Grass with Dew

More and more Cat's Ears (Calochortus elegans) in bloom...

This year they are overlapping with the Iris tenax making for a lovely meadow.

Now the English Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) has come into bloom.

First Course - Sunflowers!

I found a patch of Marsh Forget-Me-Nots (Myosotis scorpioides) thriving in a ditch.

With all the rain we've had, the creek is hustling right along - fast and muddy.

Evening Grosbeaks eating Sunflowers - the Breakfast of Champion Chirpers!
Here's a link to hear their bright call - stay with it - at about 19 seconds is what it sounds like around here!
I hope you've enjoyed this week's Wednesday Walk!
