It's April instead of February here in western Oregon.
The temperatures have been in the mid to high 50's!
The earliest of our natives, the Indian Plum or Osoberry has new green leaves and is already dropping the small green waterfalls that will turn into white cascades of blossoms.
Our native Trilliums are popping up too.
Bright green buds on the native Oregon Grape. These will become cluster of yellow flowers.
Crazily, we could hear frogs croaking Sunday night. I saw some motion in this small spring, but was not able to get a photo of the frog.
Pussy Willows have fully opened.
Soft and fuzzy, they will get covered in pollen.
Mosses and licorice ferns.
The Big Creek. I heard and caught a glimpse of a wren in the brush along the far bank.
Hazel catkins.
And look at this!
And this! The Tete-a-tete daffodils are going gangbusters.
As I said it's April in February!

It's so hard to fathom that you have pretty daffodils as it's snowing here and 3-6 inches is predicted!! I'm green with envy!!
Wow! How'd you manage that? Here in Kentucky we're under a layer of ice! Brrrrrrr. I can't wait for spring this year. Cathryn
