Corvallis Farmers' Market

It was a perfect day for a road trip, so my sister and I drove up to Corvallis, Oregon to take a look at their farmers' market.

Even on a holiday weekend the market was very well attended.
Lots and lots of fresh produce including...

tomatoes...

new potatoes...

beets...

more tomatoes...

greens...

sweet onions...

and still more tomatoes.

But wait!  There was more!

Fresh herbs...

berries...

Oregon State cheese!

Honey...

Hazelnuts...

A Ploughman's Lunch

and music.

Greatest vendor name:
Pie Fixes Everything!
My sister bought one for our father.

A nice way to spend the morning.

One year ago today Mom and I toured the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.

It looks like a great place to visit, especially when planning a summer meal........I'd have bought a pie too!

That looks like a market that is well worth attending. It reminds me of the Ballard market. This week end we stayed on our side of the water. Ferry waits have been long!

Beth, what an amazing market! How could anyone resist a pie with that name (and it's so true!)?
