At Least Four Families

Remember my trip up to Corvallis on Saturday?
Well, no trip to Corvallis is complete without stopping by Friendship Crossing

I went a bit crazy adding to my fabric stash.
I started with fabric pieces in different counts. These are perfect for stitching smalls.

Then I bought several larger cuts of fabric in different counts.
28 count including Cranberry Bog, Lambswool, Golden Sand, Ivory, Amber, and Milk Chocolate.

30 count Natural, Mink, Cocoa, and Espresso.

32 count Ice Blue, Dirty, Country Mocha, and Antique White.

I started off with a list of JACBCo buttons I needed.
Then I thought well I always need bees, and the winter buttons are cute, and so is the the caterpillar, and the chicken...

And lastly I found some more patriotic stitches, bee stitches, and Easter stitch and some fibers I needed.
I came, I saw, I conquered! (Thanks Ann!)

Tom-Cat has been compiling a list of our new quail families.

First off the Small Family.
This young couple appears to have just five babies.

The Small Family was immediately followed by the Co-op Families.
Two couples with oodles of kids.

This large group mingled without fights and the kids did not seem to be attached to one set of parents over the other set. You can see three adults in this photo - the third at the far right (just her head).

The bunnies in the grass proved to be no obstacle for this herd.

As you can see these chicks are pretty good sized already.

And we're on the move!

Chicks, two females, more chicks, a male, and yet more chicks!

And here's the Fourth Family with at least ten chicks.

One year ago today Mom and I visited Hopetoun House, a Scottish stately home.
