A Private Garden

I am happy to report some progress on "Cluck Cluck".
The tail is done as is the lavander star!

Now it's my pleasure to share with you a wonderful garden.
I got to tour it as a member of the Avid Gardeners.

Bruce and Jerry began gardening at their Portland home in 1990. The house and garden are situated on a steep slope in the Germantown area of Portland. They have five acres and garden on about 1 1/2 acres.  Though just seventeen minutes from downtown Portland, their garden feels completely rural.  With passion and fortitude, and twenty years of labor and love, they have created an amazing garden.

I was especially impressed with the way they integrated large pots and Garden Art throughout their landscape.

The garden was complex and interesting.
Winding paths led from bright sun...

...to deep shade.

And everywhere, plants, plants, and yet more plants.
All carefully edited and perfect for the site and conditions.

As exemplified by this section of "dry" garden with its Agaves and Thyme and other heat-lovers.

And above all, the use of texture was extraordinary!
Wow!
