Wednesday's Walk Around the House

I did not have to go far to find a sign of spring.
Our earliest daffodils are up about 4".

I left this container of sunflowers on the back porch while I filled up the bird feeders with other food.

Chipster took advantage of my inattention.

This is the first bunny I've seen in a month or so.

This doe has learned a new and annoying trick.

She can stand up on her hind legs...

...and empty this bird feeder!

I can't believe those daffodils are coming up so soon! (Soon here, anyway!)
That chipmunk took advantage of a free meal! ha
I know you don't want that deer in the feeders, but it's another case of taking advantage of a moment! Gotta love its persistence! I guess this cold weather makes it harder to find food.....

Oh my goodness! The doe's thievery at the feeder has me chuckling plus the free meal for chipster.

Oh, my! Daffodils already? If our current zero degree weather keeps up, ours won't be sprouting up until May! You must be much milder than most of the country is right now, Beth. And your doe must be related to our deer--same old tricks and not fair to the poor birds. We were able to raise our feeder up (it hangs from a tree branch), but I looked out the other night and a big old buck was doing the same thing. I surrender!

I'm buried in snow and you have daffys coming up, lol! Haven't seen any bunnies in quite a while, but am sure one set of tracks I saw yesterday belonged to one.

And I thought it was annoying to have just a squirrel at my feeder!!! Our daffodils are up about the same as yours. Today our market had 20 daffodils for $10. I could not resist!

Enjoy your warmer weather, the deep freeze the rest of the country is having is miserable. Great photo of the deer stealing the birds food!! Your feed bill is going to rocket if they keep on doing that.
