Wednesday's Walk

Are you ready to take a walk?  Look at how I started out my day on Monday. I did not even notice that I had on two different sandals until I got out of the car for my first appointment!  So if you are appropriately shod, let's take off...

Queen Anne's Lace dominates the fields.

The bright yellow of Eggs and Butter looks more like spring than mid-August.

Baneberries

False Solomon's Seal berries

Snowberries

Moss and lichens

A wild Aster

Seed pod of a Columbia Tiger Lily.

Bull Thistle.  My Shetland pony loved to eat these - with her lips carefully pulled back!

Rosehips.

Deep in the forest, a Red Elderberry is still blooming.

Moss and mushroom.

The wonderfully named Pearly Everlasting.

Oh Beth, you made me smile with your shoe choice. It's funny how we do things on autopilot and just don't notice.

Lovely! I need to brush up on my flower names. When we went to Jerusalem a few months ago, my husband had packed one pair of black dress shoes -- but once there, realized he had packed two different kinds. Oops!

So pretty - I so enjoyed your walk today! (and walks are always better with a guide who knows what all the plants are)

I once went to a business meeting with two different shoes - the hotel room wasn't well-lit and they were both plain pumps, but one was navy and one was brown.
Lovely photos all. Our goats used to love the thistles, which was a good thing as I detested them!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who shows up in two different shoes! I once did that for work and didn't notice it until a coworker pointed it out :)

Lovely walk yesterday!

I once had two pairs of shoes, same style but one pair black and one blue. I wore one blue shoe and one black shoe to work. Called the dude to bring in a different shoe. "Which one?" he asked. "Doesn't matter." So you're in good (?) company! :)

How funny about the sandals! I cannot recall doing that myself... Love the flowers, especially the Thistle. For some reason, they catch my eye! Hugs!
