Bees and Gardens Go Hand in Hand

I've picked this Pine Mountain kit as my first Bee Stitch for the month of June.  June is all about gardening - and without the help of bees, we'd have a most difficult time of it!

Speaking of Gardening, it's time once again for a Garden Party over at an Oregon Cottage.

No, we aren't in Tuscany!

This is the home of the owner's of Rare Plant Research outside of Canby, Oregon.

In 2006 they constructed this amazing house...

...complete with turrets and a tile roof.

It probably goes without saying that the gardens are wonderful too.

The owners are extremely creative - they devised and created the many "antique" follies.

And with a name like Rare Plants, you know their use of plant material will also be extraordinary.

I did mention there were several large ponds!

A wonderful use of color - this reminds me of Morocco.

Even the 'borrowed' herd of Dairy heifers fits right in.

Again, wonderful use of color and form.

The pond, the gazebo, and oh, look at that wall!

This is part of their "Desert Garden'.

The paths are a mix of cement, terracotta, and bright blue glazed pottery pieces.

Doesn't this look as though we've stumbled across a Roman archaeological dig?

I think even the cows were impressed - I sure was!

Looks like the cow has earrings.

WOW - I'm certainly impressed. What a lovely place. And the new stitching is "bee-u-ti-ful" - LOL - I love puns! Have a great week.

Fabulous Home and Garden! Looks as if the home was in Europe and not Oregon USA. Incredible. Fun new project you selected.

That definitely is a place I'd love to visit in person and to think someone actually lives there!

That pic of the blue chairs against the grey stone walls make me smile. I don't know what it is but there's just something so appealing about it.

Thanks for sharing such lovely pictures. Hehe... the cow in the last pic looks like she's wearing earrings ^.^

Hugs,
Veronica.
