Wednesday's Walk

It's too hot to walk far - let's look what's happening close by.

Squash blossom with bumblebee

My favorite lily
"Salmon Star"

Oregon Sunshine - will it bloom this year?

Mushrooms are growing in a patch in the yard.

I think they are more interesting when they are past their prime.

What do you think?

Wild legume

Thistle

Dandelion

Hawthorne

The first berries are beginning to turn red.

Trusses of blackberries

They too are starting to ripen.

Teasel

Elderberry
If this year is like others, the Black-headed Grosbeaks will eat them all before they ripen.

I hope you enjoyed today's walk.
