Another bird is calling to me.
This time it's an egret.
There are lots of young birds this time of year.

In the center a young Black-headed Grosbeak
Maybe not young, but scruffy molting Steller's Jays.
A young American Goldfinch and its Dad.
A parent's work is never done.

I look forward to learning more about your new cross stitch project. I'm sure it will be beautiful. I do so love shore birds. Fun to see Daddy feeding the baby this morning. A sighting I'm sure I just haven't paid enough attention to in the past and probably thought the mother was doing all the work. Another Birding 101 lesson for me. Thank you.
