A blue sky day and a trio of ravens.

Can't get any better than that!

The one on the top is substantially larger than the other two.

I thought perhaps a bonded pair - top two birds.

And a semi-adult juvenile from last year - the bottom bird.

Or an adult and two grown kids.

But these two acted more like a bonded pair than adult and child.

I changed the DMC colors for the violets as I thought the original choices were too blue and I wanted true lavender shades.

While we have Robins all year, in many parts of the US, their return is a sign of spring.

There were several stomping around the front yard this morning.

And doesn't the grass look green, green, green?

My father thinks it's too long and will probably mow today.

It continues to be daffodil time.

With fewer hawk sightings, the Mourning Doves have returned.

Lots of little Downy Woodpeckers.

And lots of Flickers too.

Can you tell it was a windy day?

Here's another one.

They were sharing the same snag.

One of the female Acorn Woodpeckers continues to work on this hole.

I'll continue to watch.

While violets are a sign of spring's return...

...so is the return of the Band-tailed Pigeon.

No sign yet of Rufous Hummingbirds or Swallows. 

Female Anna's - she might have a nest back in this thicket.

Tiny male Bushtit.

They look like a Disney creation.

Sheltering in a blackberry thicket.

Black-capped Chickadee.

Can you see all the buds on the tree?

Soon these birds will begin house-hunting.
