Saturday's Critters

This post has my regulars.

I call this chipmunk Fatty Patty.

She is as wide as she is long.

I am pleased that the wound on her throat finally appears to be healing.

There are a couple of bunnies in the backyard.

They pretty much ignore the quail.

But when the quail scurry for cover, so do the bunnies.

The grasses in the backyard are green and good eating.

But it's safest to stay close to cover.

This doe and her twin button bucks feel that the front and backyards are theirs to do as they please.

The backyard is a favorite spot for cud-chewing.

Heckle

..and Jeckle!

The doe is still allowing them to nurse once in a while.

And they do so with great enthusiasm.

It only lasts a moment and then she moves away...

...often up on the patio!

Heckle and Jeckle

It will be interesting to watch and see how long they remain with their mom.
