Sunday Solitude

Two or three Anna's remain...

Most often they are solo like this bird.  I think the bits of fuchsia on top of its head indicate a young male.

And here's an adult female.

She was kind enough to pose for me.
Right...

Shy glance from the left eye...

Flirty back pose.

I am maintaining five feeders for the hummers.  Much easier at present as temps are very mild.

Maintaining 5 feeders is quite a lot of work but how lovely the reward is seeing these beautiful birds. Enjoy the mild weather, it's been one brutal winter so far in the East.

Beautiful Beth, especially as I’m watching the snow fall here in northern MN can dream of the hummingbirds return in Spring 😁 but I do have a bird note to share...there are 6 Trumpeter Swans that returned First week of January such beauty to watch them swim by on the river and to listen to them as they talk to each other...nature is spectacular ♥️♥️

They did look like they were posing for you. We are back in a minor deep freeze here.

Very nice shots. Do these birds stay with you all winter?

At least we have had some good weather so the hummingbird feeders are not freezing.
