Yellow Bird Stitch to be followed by some Yellow Backyard Birds.
Yep, we did see the Easter Bunny as he hopped away...
But what we were not expecting, was the Easter Bear!
Once again the bear was pretty hard on my backyard feeders.
And he stole a feeder!
The bear also climb up this Douglas Fir tree, and broke the T-bar frame...
...which dropped the feeder to the ground for easy eating.
Thank goodness I'd been bringing in all my suet and peanut feeders or I'd have lost a bunch of those as well.
We decided to look at the backyard camera. And yep, there's a bear. The bear was active from about 1:20am-3:20am. And no, though my bedroom faces that direction, I did not hear anything even though I got up at 2:00am. My Dad bought the lumber to rebuild the support - we are upgrading from a 2 x 4, to a 2 x 6 - stronger! And I'll be taking down ALL my feeders each evening.
My American Goldfinch flock has slowly grown to two guys and two gals.
Lesser Goldfinch on the left, American Goldfinch on the right.
This male is almost done transitioning to breeding plumage.
I think he is quiet handsome.
I wonder if she does?
One of my House Finches has flashes of yellow.
And the male Evening Grosbeak has quite yellow...
...including the prominent yellow brow.
Love this guy!

Cute stitch! Sorry for the bear...the last two year's we've had a issue in fact last summer I couldn't even have my feeders out during the day only my hummingbird ones that were on the house Windows. I'm sure hoping this year she has found different territory...😁 Good luck with yours...
Wow. LOVE the grosbeaks - so handsome. Love your cross stitch too.
What a cute stitched piece and beautiful yellow birds! Wow! that bear made quite a mess of things. My neighbor has to take her feeders in every night too. Our feeder hangs off the 2nd floor deck, maybe I should be worried. I would hate to get up one night and see a bear on my deck!!
Eep! Bear so close ... don't think I'd like that! Sorry he makes such extra work by your needing to move the feeders in each evening (and you have so many!).
Pic of Easter Bunny scampering away is adorable!
Lovely bird pictures! We have taken, cleaned and put away our bird feeders for the season. Hope the bear doesn't do any more damage!
oh dear sorry for the bear..
cute birds x
Sweet stitch, the chicks are cute.
Easter bunny evidence, I love it!
Cute as he is, darn bear. You will be busy every evening taking the feeders down! Maybe he'll bring back the one he took to get a refill?!
Wow! I'm so glad the bear didn't approach during the daylight--how scary. It's probably a pain to have to bring in the feeders each night, but your bird friends will thank you, Beth.
