Here's a stitch I did a few years ago that fits perfectly with this month's theme - August!
Black-capped Chickadees have been one of my August birds.
As have the California Quail.
Here's a sweet young female.
Papa Bird watching over his covey.
Always alert.
Surrounded.
On the move.
I often see five or more Steller's Jays.
They too are August birds.

Today's featured design would work perfectly in several categories! I love all the bird photos, especially the first.
That single feather on top of the male's head is just so cute!
I don't know why I haven't stitched that PS August piece yet--it is adorable! And perfect for you with all the critters, Beth :)
I like that PS piece--the colors are so vivid, everything just pops! Such an attentive papa Quail. So many mouths to feed! Stellar Jays are so different from my Blue Jays... which I have not seen yet this summer! Hugs!
What a great piece and I love the photo of the chickadee on the thistle!
