As Chris at Tot Hill Farms Stitches correctly surmised, November's stitching is going to be about gratitude and turkeys - something for everyone, right?
I've certainly been thankful for all the lovely bouquets my sister has provided.
Let's take a walk and look at my sister's Dahlia Garden.
The garden had a rough start (late planting - rabbits - hot weather).
Nonetheless in October it has come into its own.
The plants are chock-a-block bursting with blooms.

The sad thing is that now it is time to cut down the plants, and dig up the tubers to store for the winter.
At least we have lots of bouquets to enjoy!

Those dahlias are beautiful!! I imagine you are making lots of bouquets to enjoy if it's time to cut them down. I haven't seen so many varieties of them before.

How beautiful they are!! My neighbor across the street had one in the summer that became a TREE! It was about 6 feet high, and has bi-colored blooms (white and pinkish)... I enjoyed seeing it! As I always enjoy seeing your sister's garden! Hugs!

AAAAAAAAhhhhh! That first bouquet is gorgeous! I love dahlias. Mine were zapped by frost and are done this year.

I love ALL of the Fall charts you have pictured! This is such a fun time of the year! I actually have the Prairie Schooler chart--I need to do some of those cute little animals for my Fall tree. I also have the Thomas chart! I saw it finished in a shop in Memphis. They made a large pillow. It was finished with elegant fabrics and trim--not primitive. It was truly stunning and not what you would expect from looking at the chart! So lovely--that's why I bought it!
Love the range of looks from one variety of flowers. Such beautiful colors to have when everything else is turning brown...
