As part of our visit to the Foundling Museum back on the 2nd of August, we were asked to partake in "The Exchange" an interactive exhibition created by Clare Twomey.
Turning over our teacup revealed the challenge to raise £50 for Tearfund.
Tearfund is a Christian based charity dedicated to ending poverty by working with local churches worldwide.
I was not sure how to go about raising the monies, but I did post about our challenge on my blog. In an amazing example of worldwide compassion I received commitments that far surpassed our original goal. Folks from Washington State, Connecticut, New York, California, Oregon, Scotland, England, and New Zealand made generous gifts which totaled over £135.
Our fund raising efforts for Tearfund have been an overwhelming success!
