This is a different 'look' for Lizzie Kate - the more primitive style reminds me of some Birds of a Feather charts. The Cat Family is pleased with this stitch - they gave it 'Two Paws Up', but only after we watched a 2 minute "Puss in Boots" movie trailer on Youtube! Who is in charge here anyway?
Parvati is the Champion Hisser - totally without equal! When she gets really riled-up she sounds like a snake. I've always wondered if she speaks Parseltongue as well as Cat-tonese.
And here it is November already. We've had a couple of days without rain, so let's go see what's up in the Great Outdoors. Photos are a wonderful form of communication, but I wish I could share sounds and smells. Yesterday was sunny and brisk. The sun was low on the horizon, and its rays diffused and weak.
The air smelled cold and clean and of wet Oak leaves. I can't pretend that it's September any longer!
The first walk of November seemed to me to be about "Little Things".
Lichen, and Mosses, and Mushrooms, and Leaves.
Oak Leaves
Even though Winter is fast arriving, there is new green growth amongst the leaves and debris.
This time of year, Mushrooms spring up almost over night.
And mosses flourish in this weather...
This is Lungwort Lichen. It's found on trees in humid forests.
More mushrooms...
There is beauty in a decaying leaf.
And while this may look like a shot of the forest floor, it is actually a large flat boulder. The rock top has accumulated enough soil and duff that it now supports a mini-ecosystem of wild strawberries, and moss, and lichens, and ferns. Quite lovely.

One of my goals in life is to take a mushroom identification class, so I can figure out what's edible and what isn't. So far its been a moot point since I haven't lived near anyplace I could actually do any mushroom gathering even if I had the knowledge.
I love the Hiss finish, at first I thought it was a BOAF design.
Great photos again. And love your stitching.
I love it! Never would have guessed that as an LK though! Thanks for sharing!
I love that cat! Congrats on the finish.
As soon as I saw your stitched piece I thought of BOAF and was surprised to see it was LK. I then scrolled down and read your comment which made me smile. Parvatti looks particularly bonnie today.
ooo cute stitch and love the mushroom shots .. funny how the weather is being weird isn't it with plants growing when they shouldn't etc ... love mouse xxxx
Cute finish! I always enjoy your photos.
I thought it was BOAF when I saw it too! It's great.
Love the finish!!
You are totally right - it's really doesn't have a L*K vibe to it, does it?
