High on Pumpkin Hill - Part 2

Design - "Pumpkin Hill"
Designer - Heart in Hand
Fabric - 32 count Tumbleweed linen
Fibers - WDW & GAST - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - 3 November 2011
Completed - 5 November 2011

As you can see by my start and finish dates, this was a quick and easy stitch.

I think it works fine for Autumn themed (non-Halloween) decorating.

And speaking of Pumpkins...and Squash...
It's time to pay homage to my sister's gardening skills!  Neither of us like Summer squash, but we both enjoy eating sweet Winter squash.

This lovely is a "Marina di Chioggia" squash.  It is a pretty bluey/green/gray - warts and all - and it is a Big Girl - weighing in at 17 lbs.

This is "Speckled Hound" - a small winter squash (about 2 lbs).

There's over 58 lbs of winter squash sitting on the shelf!
I wonder how many meals that will make?

What a cute little autumn-y piece -I love the greens in the hill. And that warty squash is so cool - I haven't seen that variety before, but there are definitely some interesting gourds/squash/pumpkins out there.

Such a cute finish, Beth--nice that you can display it the entire fall, too. What weird looking squash--kind of artistic in their own way :)

Wow, I love the big blue/ gray/ green girl! I like to pick up different pumpkins and squashes in the fall, but I've never seen one of those. Cool!

Congratulations on the finish! It's adorable.

I think that squash has more lumps than my thighs. Wow!! Freaky looking--I don't think I've ever seen that type of squash before!

Wow, that was a quick stitch! It's adorable.
I just LOVE the bumpy lumpy squash. Much prefer that over an orange pumpkin but that's just me. :)
