Gray Mornings

We've had gray mornings...and afternoons...and evenings the past few days.

It sorta' fits with the 'graying' of the Goldfinches.

They now have just a dot of yellow around their chins.

They are still gathering at the feeders in groups of 50 or more.

Some of the 'Winter' birds like this Oregon Junco (Junco oreganus) have returned.  They are ground feeders and clean up the seeds which the feeder birds have spilled.

As have the Steller's Jay who were AWOL for a while this summer.

As it has been a good year for birds, I treated myself to this print of Anna and Rufus Hummingbirds.

We had rain the first 11 days of the month, and now the ground is carpeted with new bright green seedlings.

Here's a spot of color on a gray day - Tom-Cat!

Lovely photos as always, but I have to ask what you're going to do with the beautiful hummingbird prints. Will they hang in the room you use the most, so you can see them most often? I know I'd want them in view!
