Eggs of All Sorts...and Other Birdish Things

Design - 77919 (I'm calling it 'Polka Dot Egg Chicken')
Pamphlet - "Spring Trend"
Designer - Rico Designs
Fabric - 26 count Golden Flax linen
Fiber - Anchor floss
Started - 11 September 2010
Completed - 12 September 2010

In keeping with all things birdish - I could not resist this John Derian feather tray from Target.

We also have a glass pitcher of feathers we've collected.

There are dove, and jay, and flicker feathers.

The most amazing bits from this year...

are the two partial barn swallow shells and the tiny blue feather.

The second fledge of three babies is in full force now.
It is amazing how much they've grown in the two weeks since they hatched.  Looking at the shell bits, I can only try to imagine how small they were at birth!

Very sweet; I love your display of little treasures. I always get excited when I find things like that in the yard... what a treat!

That little chicken made me smile:)
I love your feather collection...we have a couple rose ring parakeets that visit...they are more the size of a small parrot and one left a beautiful feather on the ground the other day. It's lime green on one side and turquise on the other. I love watching the birds!

Great was to display feathers! I'll have to get my daughter to display her collection like this.

Thanks for participating in the TGP!
