Dallying Amongst the Dahlias

It's really, truly September and so I've begun to stitch "Calendar - September" by Ewe & Eye and Friends.  I think it will turn out to be sunflowerish.

And speaking of flowers, September means the dahlias are in full bloom.
This week I present..."My Sister's Dahlias".

My Sister's Garden

My sister is growing 199 plants this year.  She started the tubers in one gallon plastic pots in May, and due to our cold, wet spring, was not able to set them out into the garden until late June / early July...but at least that way they continued to grow and did not rot in the muddy ground.

Dahlias come in many colors, sizes, and shapes.  Enjoy!
