I had a pleasant surprise Friday morning.

A male Evening Grosbeak (Papa Bird) and a fledgling (kiddo) showed up at the front feeders.

The fledgling awaiting Papa Bird to feed him/her.

The young bird was a cutie with the feathers all upright atop its head!
