Saturday's Critters

Not the usual suspects this week.

A good sized snake!

Probably a bull snake.

And on Tuesday about 12:30pm - a lunch-time visitor.

I managed to scare him off before he got to the feeders.

Oh. My. Goodness. That is a lot of wildlife there. My little foxes look like kitty cats compared to this. But they are beautiful — even the snake. Over spring break we were going to Williamsburg and as we trekked through Tennessee I was admiring this large piece of property with a lovely white fence and some sort of large black dog — well — it wasn’t a dog! It was a bear! I had never seen a bear in person and I was totally taken aback! We don’t have bears roaming around here in Texas and I was thrilled!

The bear is quite healthy looking and very handsome. Bruce would be shuffling the snake off into the woods because I don't want them near the house. Happy Saturday!
