Here's a representative selection of July Birds.

A young Steller's Jay

The red at the edge of the mouth is a clue that this is a young bird.

Bright yellow male American Goldfinch

And a Black-capped Chickadee

The chickadees have fledged, but are impossible to differentiate from the adults.
They all look and act alike.

"And what of it?", this bird asks.

A pair of House Finches. Unusual to see them on the ground.

Love your eagle! And your jay and chickadee! My husband is “into” birds and he said he has seen a chickadee here once — we don’t have them often but right now, in our yard, we have two large families — one cardinal family and one blue jay family. They are such fun to watch.
