Owls and a Hawk

I began working on "October".  I've finished the border and stitched up a couple of owls.

Looking from a distance I thought this might be an owl...or an eagle.

It's a BIG bird for sure.
A friend provided the ID of an immature Red-shoulder Hawk.

Two birds hanging out.

One big, one little.

A Steller's Jay and Anna's Hummingbird.

You immature hawk is a beauty. How fun to see the Steller's Jay and the Anna's Hummingbird together! Good start on your owl stitch, Beth!

My poor daughter has resorted to walking with an umbrella the owls are so aggressive in her neighborhood!
