I had a wonderful meal with family yesterday and hope that you too had a special day.  I'm off to work today, but first here are a few of the birds that came by during our brief snow on Wednesday.

Downy Woodpecker

Junco

Lesser Goldfinch

California Quail

The quail were quite active...

...and managed to successful dodge a Cooper's Hawk fly-by while I watched.

They tend to stay close to shelter for that very reason.

Cute turkey stitch, Beth! It looks like good bird activity with the skiff of snow. Score one for the quails on eluding the hawk! Enjoy your day!

I imagine those birds were very happy for the food you provided. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving! We did too.
