Stitching and Bathing

I think this was the March design that 'won' in my informal query of "What Would You Stitch?" So I have it all kitted up and am ready to get stitching.

Have you ever seen the rear-end of a Spotted Towhee?
Now you have!

Friday morning this bird decided to take a bath.

It was a vigorous bath.

After splashing, the bird then fluffed his feathers.

Then back to splashing.

Perch on the rim as the last droplets rain down.

The fluff the feathers.

Repeat - splash up a storm

Fluff up

Splash

Fluff!

Your Spotted Towhee pictures are fantastic!! :D

That's going to be a very cute March project. I hadn't noticed how many colors are in the pattern until you showed the threads!

I took some photos of a robin bathing recently... But I am behind in posting the pictures cause I went to a Bird Park last week, and took hundreds that need to be ID'd and cropped, etc... It's a job! But it was great! I like your next piece to stitch for St. Patrick's Day--look forward to seeing your rendition on your fabric. Hugs!
