Finally Friday

Hey look!  I am actually stitching away on a St' Patrick's themed design!

We had a lovely sunny afternoon Thursday.

Parvati and I spent most of it outside.
What's she looking at on the far right?

She's spied a bunny.

It's hard to photograph the Pine Siskins in flight as they swirl around.

I had a flock of over 50 hanging around yesterday.

They seem to be very sociable birds.

Lots of them perched on branches...

...while they waited their turn at the feeders.
I also saw five Bushtits, a Lesser Goldfinch, and three Violet-green Swallows, but did not manage to get photos of any of them.

I also had a group of over 30 California Quail.  They posed for me!

My gosh but aren't those quail pretty colours. Pine siskins are a bird I grew up with at home in Newfoundland, Canada. Always had lots at the feeders and a sociable bird for sure always travelling in groups. I saw a bald eagle today just slowly circling in the sky on my drive home. What a treat!
