Here's my most recent Noah's Ark finish. Alma Lynne was all the cross stitching rage in the 1990's. She was famous for her bunnies and sheep; detailed shading, and country ribbon curly-qs. This is a somewhat simpler design even with all the shading and back-stitching. I do think the elephant looks more like a saggy Snuffleupagus than anything else!
The woodpeckers "flew with the theme"...and came by two by two.
Male Hairy Woodpecker
Female Hairy Woodpecker
Female Red-shafted Flicker
A group of three Flickers - See the bill sticking out on the right?
We'll say that's a male...
..as these are two females.
They even stopped by to eat sunflower seeds!
Here's a rare late summer sighting - a female Acorn Woodpecker...
...and here's my far more reliable male Acorn Woodpecker.
I heard a Pileated Woodpecker calling - loudly and close by, but never caught a glimpse. He'd spoil my 2 by 2 theme anyway!

I love Two by Two. How nice of all the woodpeckers to go right along with the theme!
Wonderful woodpeckers - we don't have any in Australia - so I like seeing other peoples!

Cute little finish! Love all the woodpeckers you have visiting... going to go listen to what a Pileated sounds like now... Hugs!
