There are now three chipmunks scurrying about the Big Woodpile most days.
As you can see, they've not suffered much this winter.
They are Chunky Monkeys!
I watched the local newspaper's Hummingbird Camera a couple of days ago, and the female Anna is now sitting on eggs in her nest in a Rhododendron. Hummingbird eggs are smaller than you can easily imagine - about the size of a Tic-Tac mint!
I wonder if my Anna's females are nesting as well.

It's hard to even imagine such sites here in the snowy east. Your chipmunks and hummers are living in the right place!
It might be time to nest in your neck of the woods. Think not out here!
