Serene Sunday

Solomon is continuing with his course of antibiotics. The true test will be his health one week after ending the antibiotics.  Right now he appears to be 'well' with a good activity level.  And he is eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, playing. We can only wait and see.

I counted seven, yes seven chipmunks.

That explains why I had to run off Tom-Cat from Woodpile Surveillance three times Saturday morning.

The little piglets are eating and eating and eating some more.

Love the wide splayed legs on this Chubby Chipmunk.

I have to wonder how many sunflower seeds they eat in a day.

These guys are all Townsend's Chipmunks  (Tamias townsendii).

I've read that they tend to be more secretive than other kinds of chipmunks and are heard more often than seen. Not so mine! The cats and I see them all the time!

Here's one caching a few sunflower seeds.

And let's not forget the deer.

Spot and Dot came by with their Mom and older sister.

They even settled down for an afternoon nap.  Doesn't that sound like a good idea?

I hope Solomon continues well and the antibiotics have cured him of his illness. Love seeing the chipmunks. How could you call them piglets? They're so cute! :D

Beth, I am so happy to hear that Solomon is doing well and I hope and pray that his health continues.
I was just oooing and awing all through the pictures of the chipmunks and deer - so adorable. We won't see our chippies again until the spring but the red, gray and black squirrels will keep us entertained!

Good to hear Soloman is doing OK, let's hope he continues to do so. LOL, that chipmunk certainly has a lot of seeds to fill it's cheeks!
