A December Gift

I found time to stitch for a bit on Lizzie Kate's "December Stamp".  I should be able to finish this up in a couple of days.

In celebration of Outdoor Wednesday, I'm going to feature one of my favorite transitory birds - Evening Grosbeaks.  Earlier this month, I was surprised to see two pair of Evening Grosbeaks at the feeder.

They are normally a spring / early summer bird...

Then they move to higher elevations for late summer through winter.

The guys are so pretty - it was a girt to have them drop by, even if only for a day.

Looks like a fun stitch! The birds are beautiful - I've never seen them 'round my feeders. Bummer.

Merry Christmas!

Wow!! Love the birds! I had a little birdy that would come stay in one of the columns of my front porch. He came for a few years in a row and one year built a nest! I keep waiting for him this year, but so far nothing! I'm honestly a little sad...
Anyway, thanks for sharing!
