Nesting

A stitch with chicks and eggs seems perfect for this time of year.
Here's why.

This spring we've had a couple of wild turkey hens around on a daily basis.

They are not shy and walked right past me...

...because this guy was stalking them!
I think there are baby turkeys in our future.

The ball of nesting material continues to be popular.

The hummers are mostly done with it and the chickadees have taken over.

This one flew off into the forest with the cotton.

I continue to hope that a pair will take up residence in one of my chickadee nest boxes.

The lesser goldfinches are also grabbing material.

Spring truly is here!

Glad the nesting materials are being used! Nice looking hens and you are right about the Tom and his stalking! We have seen a Tom and several hens, but never together this spring.
