Bright Birds on a Rainy Day

Design - "Sampling Easter"
Designer - Lizzie Kate
Fabric - 30 count WDW Parchment linen
Fibers - WDW & GAST - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - 12 March 2012
Completed - 19 March 2012

I've seen half a dozen Vaux Swifts fluttering and swooping high in the sky. I think I've seen and heard a Purple Martin too.

Other documented spring returnees include:

An Orange-crowned Warbler.

I've seen it or its friend on the suet a couple of times now.

It is probably the most nondescript of the spring/summer warblers being a dull yellow with olive/brown tail feathers.

Still...it's a warbler, right?

No complaints.

The male American Goldfinches though know how to pop the yellow!

They practically glow.
