While my Acorn Woodpeckers remain AWOL...
...the little Downy Woodpeckers are here most days.
There's a female...
...and a male.
Here he is with a partially obscured larger Hairy Woodpecker in the back left.
A small group of California Quail.
A male on the move.

Adorable snowmen you stitched on the Baubles for January! Great bird shots!
I still love seeing the quail. They are so appealing somehow! Love seeing the woodpeckers too. I wonder where the Acorn Woodpeckers are....
The quail are such interesting looking birds! What a cute snowman design!
