A Turkey Vulture
Soaking up some heat on a cold morning.
Soon these guys will head south.

Oregon Junco also called Winter Bird as their numbers increase in the fall/winter.
I already have a pretty good sized group of them.

Sweet pumpkin piece, Beth! What a cutie the little bird is! Your pictures of the Turkey Vulture are cool.
Great vulture pics. They walk around with their wings stretched out while they are hunting in the fields. We have on average 7 - 13 flying about.
I had a kitty from '95 - 16 that could be Luna's twin. I made Toni Whitney's Flo Flo applique to remember her by.
