Monday evening the winds picked up and shifted coming out of the east and humidity dropped.
That night new forest fires ignited and the valley filled with smoke...
...and ash. This is really scary weather!
Thankfully we already have masks as the air quality is so bad they're needed.
But around the house things are blooming - let's go see.

Your flowers are beautiful! I love your roses! We had an unusual wet and humid Summer so tomato season didn't last long. I wish I could reach in and harvest some of your cherry tomatoes. Stay safe! Many years ago when we lived in Oregon we had a wild fire close by and I remember the ash falling from the sky. Something I will never forget. It was scary.
Very sad times here in the NW. We rarely get fires on the west side of the mountains. The wind storm brought down electric lines and now we have fires over here. Several homes have been lost. Sad and scary times for us all. At least the flowers still bring joy and beauty.
