Saturday's Critters

Quiet time around here lately.

I did have a doe with her twins swing by.

Barry Buck came by...

This doe travels about with Barry. I wonder if they are siblings.

There was a bunny amongst many quail.

And lastly, one sighting of a California Ground Squirrel.

Awesome critter pictures for today, Beth! We had a trio of deer go through the front yard this morning. They didn't hang around too long which means I missed the opportunity to snap their photo. Enjoy your Saturday!

Hi Beth, hope the air quality has improved. Just like last year the doe keeps her fawn hidden. They come out each evening to eat what's left of the bird seed under the peach tree but by then it's almost dark. My exciting Saturday encounter - the praying mantis in my large lantana was mating. I proofed the theory wrong that they eat their mate. As soon as it was over and she turned her head he got away and flew off. Amazing!
