The Hairy Woodpeckers have been very active.
Here's a male...
He's grabbing a bite of suet...
...to feed his newly fledged son.
The youngster is on the left. Look closely and you can see he has red atop his head.
As the bird matures, the red stripe will move to the back of his head.
Here's another parent /child feeding session.
This time Mom is feeding her son.
Back to father / soon action.
Son watching, father gathering suet.
Chow time!
